DAISSy / HOU organized the multiplier event of the D-ChallengHE project

On Friday, October 27 2023, from 18:00 to 20:00, the DAISSy research team of the Hellenic Open University, organized the live event entitled “Competence development in the digital era”, in the context of which, the multiplier event of the project «D-ChallengHE – Digital Challenge in Higher Education» took place. The main objective of the D-ChallengHE project is to highlight the experiences, practices and abilities of teaching and academic staff in Higher Education. In this context, the dissemination of best practices in e-learning, digitization of educational content, training and development of skills for online and blended learning, increased use of digital resources and open and distance education, are included.


The event was held at MyWay hotel, Othonos Amalias Avenue, 16, Patras and was attended by 50 people in total. It lasted 2 hours and was split in two parts. The first focused on presenting the D-ChallengHE project’s key information (scope, objectives, partnership, etc.) and the outcomes achieved so far. In particular, important information of the online learning pilot program for teaching in Higher Education was presented in detail, such as the online learning platform, the structure and indicative contents of the courses, the timetable and the learning model, the eligibility criteria of the participants, as well as indicative registration dates for this learning program. The second part of the event focused on similar activities of the DAISSy research team in other Erasmus+ projects.


In private discussions with those present at the event, they expressed their positive opinion about the expected impact of the project and its educational activities, while they expressed a strong interest in the registration process for joining the online learning pilot program for teaching in Higher Education. In addition, they expressed their desire to participate in subsequent training opportunities and multiplier events of the DAISSy research group.
